Class of 97 Reunion

I hope that this post moves us forward...

So I have sat on the lastest comments and thought some stuff through and have come up with some things.... First off, I have realized why so many of you were rooting for hors d'ouevres; they allow you to stand and eat! And, in turn, they allow you to mingle more. I realize that this is what the comments were inferring, but I was stuck on the buffet aspect instead. Therefore, finger/munchy foods will be offered. However, I promise to have enough to allow you to feel as if you have eaten an actual meal. One other thing would be that earlier I mentioned that it didn't seem any more cost effective to offer the finger foods over sit-down foods and this may still ring true, because we would have to pay for each beverage that is ordered (by beverage, I mean the non-alcoholic fare) while its price was included in the other option (they run between 1.50-2.00 apiece. It's not a huge thing so we'll work it out. Secondly- and I really don't want to upset anyone- I am not setting up a cash bar. I feel that I am the hostess of the event, and as a hostess I don't like making people pay for anything at a party I am throwing.n It's more inviting and enjoyable and I think that it comes at a minimal cost to everyone. That being said, I have not yet decided if actual liquor will be offered, because in doing so, more steps would have to be taken with permits and licenses and such, it could be complicated. What is decided is that at least beer and wine will be served and at no extra cost just like tea, lemonade and soda will be served at no extra cost.

Humbly Submitted.

Nicole

What would be required of us to get a full service bar? I'd be fine with beer and wine but if it's possible for me to throw down a few gin and tonics then I'll go the extra mile. I mean, if I've got to sit there and listen to Ray Tice bitch about not being an Indy cop for two hours then I'm gonna need something stronger than beer you know? :-)
