Thank you to Kenny Coker for reminding me of Megan Skinner's passing in the 8th grade. She died from a long battle with cancer towards the beginning of the school year.
Ahh...my favorite Megan memory was when a huge group of classmates went to the Thoke farm in Kentucky when Megan was in remission. Luke Muncy asked her to slow dance because he knew she had a crush on him and there was a sweet clown who, before leaving, told Megan he loved her. She replied with "ditto", like in the movie Ghost. :)
i remember that trip to the farm. megan rode up in a limo. we went on hay rides. it was a great time. we also had something at the skating rink for her and crystal greene read her a poem she had wrote for her. good memories. cari
I remeber going on girl scout trips with megan, her and I used always have a blast. I remember the skating rink when crystal read her the poem and the hayride. My mom used to be the store manager at Taco Bell and Megan loved the ice there because it was in little cubes and my mom and I would take it over to her in large containers for her to have.. The last memory I have of her is us at her house watching "bird on a wire" with steve martin, we laughed so much that day.. It was sad to see such a good person go through all of that.
